On the occasion of signing his new book (“Facing Zionism as a Colonial and Racist Ideology”), the writer, journalist, and political activist, Bruno Otman, emphasized that Israel is experiencing isolation globally, at a time when nations, peoples, and liberation movements worldwide are racing to declare their solidarity and stand with the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, condemning the policy of repression, aggression, and genocide practiced by the Israeli occupation in its assault on Gaza.
This aggression and genocidal policy have led many Jewish communities worldwide to boycott and distance themselves from Zionist policies, and even condemn them. This is one of the most significant consequences of the aggression on Gaza. The student protests, especially in the United States, where students from the Jewish community actively participate, are the greatest evidence of this rift between Judaism and Zionism. According to the progressive writer and journalist Bruno Otman, who is of Jewish origin and is considered the strongest opponent of the Zionist movement in Brazil, this poses the greatest danger to the Zionist state.
On her part, the leader of the “Landless Movement” in Brazil, Cassia Bashara, provided a political analysis of Ghassan Kanafani’s book “Revolution 1936-1939,” which has been translated into Brazilian Portuguese. She said, “The Palestinian national struggle is fundamentally a progressive struggle against imperialism.”
