The Israeli occupation forces are committing horrific massacres against civilians in southern Lebanon, which resulted in killing hundreds and destroying many houses and buildings over the heads of their inhabitants. These massacres come after others committed by Israeli aircraft, which affected the Lebanese capital Beirut.
The continuous bombardment of southern Lebanon has caused a massive wave of displacement towards the capital and northern Lebanon in search of a safer place. Residents of the village of Majdal Silm in southern Lebanon told Sputnik on Monday that families living along the southern border are unable to evacuate to safer areas of the country due to the heavy bombardment by Israeli aircraft. “The attacks are carried out on houses and roads, and have not stopped since early morning. That’s why we can’t leave the village,” said one resident.
Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in Lebanon reported that the number of people killed has risen to nearly 500 and the number injured to more than 1600 as a result of the Israeli strikes that targeted Lebanon today.
In response to the crimes against the Lebanese and Palestinian people, the Lebanese resistance, Hezbollah, launched rockets targeting northern occupied Palestine, and for the first time in history, the rockets reached settlements in the northeastern West Bank. This escalation carried out by the resistance is a wise escalation that exceeds the expectations of the enemy and is not subject to its diktats and special agendas, and this is evidence of the wisdom possessed by the axis of resistance and the Islamic resistance in Lebanon in the context of responding to the Zionist enemy.
The crimes of the occupation against the brotherly Lebanese people today deliberately targeted innocent civilians to inflict as many victims as possible in an extension of the war of extermination waged by the criminal occupier and his terrorist army against our peoples in Palestine and Lebanon.
This brutal and unbridled criminality is fueled by full US support and partnership, international complicity, silence and the absence of an official Arab position that extends to partnership with the aggression in the case of Arab normalization regimes.
Our people in Lebanon and Palestine and the resistance forces in the region are fighting a just battle in defense of existence and destiny in the face of a criminal enemy, and the commitment of the resistance in Lebanon to limit targeting to the military bases and forces of the occupation army has been met by the occupation with massacres of civilians, homes and facilities in Lebanon.
The official and popular Arab position must leave its current positions and rise up in defense of the existence of the nation in a way that rises to the magnitude of the challenge in the battle for existence. The resistance forces of the nation and its peoples are united and determined to defend the homelands and peoples against this criminal enemy. This battle expresses the unity of the Lebanese-Palestinian blood, which has always been historically evidence of the unity of destiny and joint confrontation against the Zionist occupation.
