“The massacres committed by the occupation forces are not mere incidents, but reflect a systematic approach of crimes and violations against Palestinian and Lebanese civilians. The international community must act to put an end to these crimes and ensure that their perpetrators are held accountable,” said journalist Bassel Al-Tanani, who spoke at the event on behalf of Palestinian Action. Al-Tanani also stressed the importance of documenting these crimes and continuing to expose Israeli policies that violate international law.
For his part, Palestinian human rights activist Khalil Shaheen called for intensified legal efforts to prosecute Israeli occupation leaders, stating, “The deliberate targeting of civilians, including children and women, constitutes clear war crimes. It is the duty of international courts and human rights organizations to act immediately to ensure that justice is done and those responsible are held accountable.” Shaheen added that continued impunity encourages the repetition of these crimes, which calls for increased pressure on countries and relevant institutions to act decisively.
The marchers, representing various nationalities and cultural backgrounds, affirmed their commitment to continue to support the Palestinian and Lebanese cause and to demand an end to the occupation and the lifting of the siege imposed on Gaza.
