Brussels, Belgium – May 26, 2025.
In support of the Global March to Gaza (Convoy of Resilience)
The Handhala Association in Belgium announces its full support for the global initiative “March to Gaza” (Convoy of Resilience), which will commence from Tunisia on June 9 and head towards the Rafah crossing on June 15. This march will include freedom fighters and activists from around the world, united in their opposition to the unjust blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip and to protest the brutal war and massacres inflicted upon the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza.
This initiative is not merely a symbolic act; it is a global humanitarian outcry against ongoing genocide and a step towards breaking the siege to deliver essential food, medical supplies, and humanitarian aid to our people in Gaza, who have endured relentless bombardment and starvation for more than 20 months.
The Handhala Association considers this Convoy of Resilience as part of a necessary global grassroots movement to mobilize international and Arab public opinion to halt these crimes, hold the occupation accountable, and defend the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them the right to life, dignity, and freedom. It also stands in solidarity with the steadfastness and legitimate resistance of the Palestinian people in the face of the criminal occupation.
We call upon the Arab countries through which the convoy will pass to facilitate its mission and provide all necessary support to ensure its safe and smooth arrival at the Rafah land crossing, reflecting the spirit of Arab solidarity and the humanitarian duty towards the besieged Palestinian people.
We invite all free people worldwide, including Arab citizens, institutions, political and academic elites, civil society organizations, trade unions, student movements, and human rights activists, to join this march, actively participate, support it through media, political, and field efforts, and open the path for its arrival. This is a reaffirmation of the unity of the human conscience in the face of injustice and occupation.
Long live the struggle and resistance of the Palestinian people.
