From behind bars in the occupation’s prisons, imprisoned leader Ahmed Saadat salutes the resistance fighters against the siege, addressing them with a message expressing steadfast determination and unity of purpose. The following is the full text of the message:

In the name of the resistant Palestinian people, and in the name of the captive movement in the Zionist enemy’s Bastille, headed by the Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the captive leader Ahmed Saadat… and all our valiant captives

We appreciate the stance of international activists and their determination, which inspires pride and honor, to break the siege on our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, who have been subjected to genocide for more than 18 years.

These attempts are nothing but an expression of the humanity of these solidarity activists and confirmation that Palestinian identity is, par excellence, a militant identity. It proves to the savage Western world, which supports the accelerated genocide in Gaza, that the collective awareness of the responsibility of the peoples of the South to stop the war of extermination is what gives hope and strengthens the determination of our prisoners and our people in the larger prison.

Dear comrades, as part of the peoples of the Global South who have been under colonial occupation for more than 150 years, we have proven to the world that free peoples cannot be subjugated or enslaved, and that the West’s support for the Zionist entity today is nothing more than a means of protecting its colonial interests in the region.

The Zionist occupation’s attempts to erase identity and spread its narrative have failed, and the Palestinian narrative of struggle and resistance has triumphed. This is confirmed by the naming of the freedom boat after Handala. Handala is the 10-year-old boy who represents the backbone of the Palestinian revolution, who rejects the reality imposed on the Palestinian people, who refuses normalization and compromise, and who dreams of liberation and return through resistance.

We congratulate you on your efforts and your struggle. Today, you represent the human conscience that refuses to stand by and witness the massacre. Thank you, Handalas of Palestine.

We shall be victorious!
