Berlin – Saturday, September 27, 2025

The German capital witnessed a massive demonstration organized by the German Left Party (Die Linke) in cooperation with an international coalition of solidarity groups with Palestine and anti-imperialist movements, under the slogan: “From Berlin to Gaza: No to Genocide, No to Occupation.”

The march started from Neptunbrunnen Square in central Berlin, where thousands of participants from diverse political and cultural backgrounds gathered, raising Palestinian flags and banners condemning the Israeli occupation and demanding an end to Western military and political support for Israel.

Palestine’s Speech: The Voice of Conscience in the Heart of Berlin

At a pivotal moment of the march, Palestinian activist Ibrahim Ibrahim delivered a moving speech on behalf of the solidarity committees. He described what is happening in Gaza and the West Bank as a “systematic genocide,” stressing that the Palestinian national struggle cannot be reduced to the events of October 7, 2023, but rather is the continuation of more than a century of resistance, starting from the Balfour Declaration of 1917, through the Nakba (catastrophe), the intifadas (uprisings), and the ongoing struggle inside Palestine and the diaspora.

Ibrahim said:
“What happened on October 7 is not a beginning, but a new chapter in our people’s struggle against colonialism and apartheid. Our struggle for freedom and dignity began when our land was given to the Zionist movement, and it has continued through revolutions, uprisings, and unbreakable popular resistance.”

He added:
“The real and just solution does not lie in managing the occupation or patching up the apartheid system, but in establishing a democratic socialist Palestinian state on all of historic Palestine, where Jew, Muslim, and Christian live with equal rights and duties, without ethnic or religious privileges, and without colonialism.”

Clear Political Messages: No to Germany’s Complicity

The demonstrators demanded an immediate halt to arms exports to Israel and for an international investigation into Germany’s role in supporting crimes committed against Palestinians. They also demanded the activation of Article 25 of the Rome Statute, which holds accountable anyone who deliberately contributes to the commission of a crime against humanity.

A Broad Coalition and a Militant Atmosphere

The march brought together leftist forces, trade unions, migrant organizations, and youth movements in a scene reflecting the widespread solidarity with Palestine in Germany.
