A new investigative report released by the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM), the People’s Embargo network, and Giovani Palestinesi d\u2019Italia reveals, through documented data and timelines, that Italy has not been a mere bystander but an active participant in the war supply chain linked to the ongoing destruction in Gaza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the report, investigators documented the following developments since the beginning of the war:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
First: At least 416 direct military shipments were documented from Italy to Israel, including weapons, fighter jet components, spare parts, and drone equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Second: Italy allegedly supplied more than 224 kilotons (224,000 tons) of fuel, essential for powering tanks, armored vehicles, and military logistics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Third: The report tracked fuel tankers \u2014 including the vessels MINERVA JOY and SEASALVIA \u2014 allegedly switching off AIS tracking systems and altering declared routes in order to conceal their arrival at refineries in Ashdod and Haifa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The report places the Italian defense and aerospace giant Leonardo S.p.A at the center of scrutiny. Investigators recorded more than 150 shipments of aviation components and avionics systems linked to supply chains supporting the production of F-15 fighter aircraft connected to the Israeli defense company Elbit Systems \u2014 aircraft widely used in aerial operations over Gaza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the findings, such a military supply corridor would not have been possible without the involvement of key Italian logistical infrastructure. Several ports reportedly served as transit hubs for military-grade steel, electronic warfare equipment, radar components, and fuel shipments. Cargo movements were traced through the ports of Ravenna, Genoa, and Taranto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The report argues that Italy, as a signatory to the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, may be violating its legal and moral obligations. It further states that these shipments were not isolated exceptions but part of a sustained policy that continued into 2025, potentially placing Italy within the scope of legal scrutiny related to proceedings before the International Court of Justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
