Sarsour, a lawful permanent resident of the US for 32 years, was abducted by ICE and DHS on March 30th — targeted solely for being Palestinian and a prominent leader of the Palestinian rights movement.
He is president of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee, an AMP board member, and a longtime coalition partner of USPCN in Wisconsin.
His son Karim describes him as a selfless father of six and grandfather of nine — someone you call in any moment of need.
For decades, USPCN has defended community members facing political repression. Sarsour’s abduction is another case of law enforcement criminalizing Palestinians and our movement.
Past attempts at violent repression have failed to silence us. This arrest will not intimidate us from fighting for Palestine’s liberation, nor from protesting Zionism, occupation, colonization, and the genocide of apartheid Israel.
USPCN demands Sarsour’s immediate release and pledges full solidarity with him, his family, ISM, AMP, and the Milwaukee Palestinian community.
