As the United States braces for what is expected to be one of the largest protest days in its history, with massive “No Kings” demonstrations against Donald Trump and the dominance of the ultra-rich, Europe is witnessing its own wave of large-scale mobilizations.
Today, hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets in several European cities, voicing their opposition to war, militarization, and government policies perceived as undermining workers’ rights and democratic freedoms.
In Rome, an impressive demonstration drew over 300,000 participants, making a powerful statement against the government of Giorgia Meloni. Protesters called for an end to militarization, the protection of workers’ rights, and the defense of democratic liberties, highlighting widespread discontent with current political decisions.
The European protests come amid growing global concerns over inequality, government overreach, and the erosion of civil rights, reflecting a broader international movement for social and economic justice.
