On the one-year anniversary of the war waged by the Zionist occupation against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the Union of Palestinian Communities and Institutions in Europe called on Palestinian communities and forces of solidarity with Palestine in European cities to intensify protest activities. This call comes at a time when the war of extermination that includes all of occupied Palestine has deepened, which is being implemented with the support of the United States and the European Union.
In this context, the Union confirmed in its statement that the first week of October will be a time to intensify solidarity movements with Palestine and defend the rights of its people. The statement also stressed the importance of the role of Palestinian communities and institutions in Europe and the United States in organizing protests and intensifying pressure on the colonial governments participating in the campaign.
The union also stated that protest activities should focus on demanding an end to the war of genocide, holding war criminals accountable, ending the occupation, achieving the return of refugees, and restoring the rights of the Palestinian people to freedom, dignity, and self-determination.
This announcement came in the context of escalating the struggle against imperialist and racist policies, and expanding the support base for Palestine through the efforts made in various arenas.
